Elaine is a licensed clinical psychologist and has worked in UVA’s Department of Student Health since 2013.  Her primary position is in the Student Disability Access Center (SDAC), but she also sees students through Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).  She has a specialty in behavioral sleep medicine and loves helping people with their insomnia.  She earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona and her B.S. in Biology and Psychology from Duke University.

Elaine is thrilled to be a part of the IRC community.  She adores traveling and seeing new places, whether near or far.  While it is true that she loves all sorts of highfalutin cultural activities (plays and films and music), she also loves to watch the Bachelor and its related shows.  She would like to one day be a contestant except for the reality that she is way too old and the pesky fact that she is already married to Reid.
