Elaine BaileyPrincipal's Spouse
Elaine is a licensed clinical psychologist and has worked in UVA’s Department of Student Health and Wellness since 2013. Her primary position is in the Student Disability Access Center (SDAC), but she also sees students through Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). She has a specialty in behavioral sleep medicine and loves helping people with their insomnia. She earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona and her B.S. in Biology and Psychology from Duke University.
Elaine is thrilled to be a part of the IRC community. She thrives on traveling and seeing new places, whether near or far. At home, she loves all sorts of different things, from exploring the outdoors with her family to playing board games to watching ridiculous reality TV. Sleep is also a passion, not only professionally, but personally. If she were to write a book it would be called, “Fantastic Naps and Where to Find Them.”
