Grace Medrano

Minister of Community Operations
gm7zd@virginia.edu

Hi there! My name is Grace Medrano and I'm a third year East Asian Studies major. While my family is originally from Honduras, I grew up in Northern Virginia. I chose to live in the IRC my first year because of a last-minute dorm tour I took during Days On the Lawn and now I couldn’t imagine my UVA experience without this diverse, vibrant community that I’m so lucky to call my own. In the past, I’ve worked alongside the Sustainability Committee to maintain our composting program and our garden while promoting sustainable living within the IRC. This year, I hope to improve upon these initiatives while also fostering community and promoting cross-cultural exchange. Ministerial stuff aside, I’m a big fan of language-learning, exploring used bookstores, watercolor painting, and sitting in New Cabell Hall windowsills (don’t knock it ‘till you try it). In regards to my main involvements on Grounds, I’m a member of Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship and I work at UVA’s International Center. I’m thrilled to be serving as your Minister of Community Operations this year! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any feedback or suggestions, and I hope to see you around! :)
