Elaine received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Arizona in 2006. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System’s Behavioral Medicine Center, she stayed on as an attending psychologist. In 2013, she joined Student Health as a therapist in CAPS and in 2015, she was delighted to join the team at SDAC. She loves working with students on all sorts of issues, including her specialty area of behavioral sleep medicine.
During her own undergraduate days at Duke University, she studied biology, psychology, and college basketball fandom. Here in Charlottesville, she loves spending time walking around the downtown mall, mountain biking with her family, and planning for her next international adventure.
