Art based interventions have been shown to lower stress and increase positive affect. In celebration of the end of the semester, come explore your creativity and experience the benefits of an art activity. For this activity, we will explore masks as a symbol of celebration. Masks have been used in cultures around the world and throughout history to mark an occasion or to celebrate an event. Participants will be supplied with a blank mask and a variety of materials – markers, magazines and newspapers, paint, decorative paper and more. Consider decorating your masks with symbols and representations of what you proud of this year and what brings you joy!
